Panel Abstract

With a lot of talk of cloud computing sticker shock, nostalgic muttering about repatriation of workloads to data centers, and wincing over the operational challenges of multicloud environments, it makes sense to remind IT teams of what the biggest driver of cloud adoption was: agility. Cost savings don’t happen automatically in most cloud migrations, and folks who migrated aggressively with only some vague notion of achieving savings were generally disappointed. But those looking for an IT engine to power rapid evolution were not. From DevOps to AI to digital transformation, cloud has been a significant accelerator for enterprise IT.

Of course, for all the agility and flexibility that comes with adopting cloud infrastructures and applications, there are significant challenges to face in protecting the organization. “Three clicks from disaster” is a real problem. As more and more people in the organization can make those clicks, and as the organization empowers developers and admins to do things faster, it is a problem that needs to be addressed proactively, robustly, and consistently across clouds. One crucial facet of enabling consistent security across clouds, and one of the biggest security and risk management challenges facing a modern enterprise in the age of zero trust, is unifying identity management across scattered, disjoint, but cross-communicating cloud environments.

Join us as we discuss the dangerous opportunities inherent in the ongoing rise of cloud in financial services, the interplay between cloud’s not-so-secret superpower – agility – and the need to reduce and mitigate risk by implementing robust security across clouds and transitioning to a zero-trust world even as the enterprise extends itself across ever more clouds.

Abstract

The modern enterprise is operating across a lot of clouds: typically at least 2 IaaS/PaaS environments and dozens of SaaS platforms. Implementation of corporate security policies and best practices in and among those environments is likely to be uneven, integrations among them are proliferating, and management and monitoring for security purposes is in most cases fragmented. Another round of management by swivel chair is playing out in cybersecurity, but with higher stakes than in the past. What steps can IT take to improve the situation? As in the past, the big wins are in consolidating visibility and in automation.

Abstract

The Financial Services industry is in the midst of a wholesale cloud migration driven by the shift to digital consumption, the need to iterate services quickly, and the push to empower employees to work from anywhere. Securing greenfield cloud estates at scale is daunting.  Where should security be applied to create the greatest reduction in risk per dollar spent?  Are traditional security services cloud capable?  Are cloud-provided, first-party services good enough?  Join Fortinet to hear how address these questions toward insuring a successful cloud journey.

Abstract

Did you know that with an estimated cloud spend in 2022 of $1.3 trillion that 30% of that spend is wasted? Organizations, in an effort to move with agility, lack important controls over how much is spent on cloud resources and who’s spending it. The result—they wind up with unexpected bills and increased time to transition from on-prem data centers to the cloud. Industries must take control and develop a culture of financial responsibility. This means improving your decision making with intelligence and delivering centralized control to tame your cloud bill.

Learn how Micro Focus can help you cut the waste and control spend.

  •  Uncover uncontrolled cloud costs to help you free up innovation funding
  • Take control of costs with holistic, granular multi-cloud spend visibility
  • Keeping control of costs proactively prevents costly and non-compliant configurations

Abstract

CIOs are prioritizing security in DevOps supply chains. Recently, significant security challenges have impacted DevOps, with major consequences to organizations—and even nations. It’s clear that criminal actors need only a single misconfiguration in the code to paralyze a company’s entire ecosystem.

To combat these risks, putting Zero-Trust principles at the core of DevOps supply chains can help ensure complete security from Code to Cloud. In this session, learn how to help your customers apply Zero-Trust tenets to DevOps, from the secure deployment of microservices to a deep shift left in production environments.
